William G. Grayexpounds clearly the most important ritual of the SangrealSodality in this book. It is similar to a Christian mass, but itis not. The concepts of what the san-greal (royal blood), qabalah, and other elements of this tradition including the meaning of thesymbol used by the Sangreal Sodality are explained. I think thisbook is good because it is meant to allow people, such as myselfor you, to create a Sangreal Sodality with others. This is whatWilliam Gray mentions in the book in it's later chapters. Heassociates his writing this book with the work of others in the1600's who allowed for the formation of the Rosicrucian Movement. They wrote books/pamphlets with a set of ideals that wouldeventually be crystalized by the people who read the documentswritten for that tradition

Several folks have sent messages asking me to post some instructions on learning to skry. Since doing the job right will take a while, I'm going to do it in sections, as I have the time. Here's a rough outline of what needs to be covered, IMO:

    1. Preliminaries
    - Relaxation
    - Concentration

    2. Creating a "Refuge" or "Sacred Space"
    - General considerations
    - Establishing the space
    - Establishing your "astral" body in the space
    - The "surprise me" technique
    - The "magick mirror"
    - Pathworking

    3. Testing your visions

    4. Applying these skills to Enochian magick.

For some parts of this I can adapt things I've already written for other contexts; for other parts, I'll be starting from scratch, and may need a few iterations before I have something I feel comfortable posting. So the posts in the series are likely to be erratic. No one should hesitate to ask questions if anything isn't clear; I know my prose gets cumbersome at times.

  • [ recommended ] The Practice of Magical Evocation: Instructions for Invoking Spirit Beings from the Spheres surrounding us

Downloaded: 218 times | Size: 350 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @300 credits

A practical guide to the proper evocation of and communication with spiritual, magical and divine entities. It is perhaps the only truly significant modern study of direct contact with the universal teachers -- the other major works in the field are products of the Medieval,Renaissance, and Reformation periods. But beyond that, there is a fascinating glimpse into a complete magical universe. Author outlines a totally new and original hierarchy of magic, from the spirits of the four elements to those of the various planets, and even to each degree of the zodiac. Included with the names and descriptions of the various entities are a collection of previously unknown magical sigils, as well as a true account of ancient astrology. Sacred Magick Edition.

Downloaded: 206 times | Size: 157 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits

The Magus has proved to be the most sought after set of bookson magic and alchemy ever published. There is very good reasonfor this. These books are powerful, and were considered sodangerous that for many years, rare copies could only be foundin certain libraries, locked away from the general public andfrom those who would use (or misuse) its power. The originalset of books was first published in 1801 by its author,Francis Barrett, who had an extensive background in themedieval and occult sciences. He spent many years of diligentstudy before releasing them. His premise for the material, that is, before putting anything into these books, Barrettfirst subjected the various theories to certain tests that hadto be "substantiated by nature, truth, and experiment" first. They were written for those seeking the key to thephilosopher's stone and the powers of magic. The illustrationsin this book were taken from ancient and medieval texts, magical tables, planetary tables, talismans and images ofangels and demons. Book One covers natural magic, amulets andcharms, potions, precious stones, lights, candles, alchemy, the philosopher's stone, transmutation, the four elements, numbers, and planets. Book Two covers magnetic powers,Cabalistic magic, the names of angels and spirits, theperforming of invocations, conjuring spirits, magic circles, receiving oracles in dreams, positive and evil spirits, andconcludes with a major biographical section on the greatmagicians of history.
