  • The Red Book of Appin Translated by Scarabaeus

Downloaded: 93 times | Size: 26 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits

Black magic and demonolatry from the collection of Joseph Appin. The Red Book of Appin is a name many occultists may have heard but few would know much about.

Folklore claims the book was stolen from the Devil as a trick by a young shepherd on whom Satan had set his sights. Montague Summers in his History of Witchcraft and Demonology relates that the book “contained a large number of magic runes and incantations for the cure of cattle diseases, the increase of flocks and the fertility of fields” and (in common with many books of magic) its simple possession conferred upon the owner certain preternatural powers. By Summers’ time the book had already been missing for at least 100 years.

  • The Grand Grimoire

Downloaded: 89 times | Size: 34 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits

One of the most famous and outrageous Grimoires of black magic.A Practical Manual of Diabolic Evocation and Black Magick. The text of Grand Grimoire has been translated by Ms. Gretchen Rudy from the 1612 Italian edition, the primary source work for this grimoire. Secondary sources include the 1823 French edition, which was fraudulently backdated as 1521 and issued as the Red Dragon. The Grand Grimoire was issued again in the later seventeenth century with its original title, Grand Grimoire. Interestingly, the original Italian edition also includes the first published example of the Black Hen, or Black Pullet and although extremely brief, it is the kernalwhich was later elaborated on in subsequent editions as LePoule Noire.

The Grand Grimoire explains a system for entering into a pact with three Infernal Spirits, Lucifer, Ashtaroth & Beelzebuth, through the authority of the Prime Minister of Hell, LucifugeRofocale. In this, the demonology of the Grand Grimoire is unique; while some of the chief spirits are identical to thosein Grimoirium Verum, and others to Lemegeton Clavicula Salomonis vel Regis, the Grand Grimoire stands alone in the literature of demonology with its central figure, Lucifuge Rofocale. The name 'Rofocale' appears to be an anagram for 'Focalor'of the Lemegeton, according to Elizabeth Butler in her Ritual Magic (1949) who goes on to tell us that "by introducing the name of Lucifuge the author has done a service to demonology for which it should be grateful." In his monumental work Of Black Magic & Of Pacts (1898), Arthur E. Waite states that the Grand Grimoire "must be regarded as the veritable Magnum Opus" and he goes on to say that that Eliphas Levi later adopted the personage of Lucifuge in his works.VERSIONS:The Grand Grimoire(42 pages)Dark Lodge version

  • [ recommended ] Hoodoo Conjuration Witchcraft & Rootwork Vol 1

Downloaded: 88 times | Size: 998 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @300 credits

Harry Middleton Hyatt was a minister who collected folklore and spells throughout the American South from the 1950s through the 1970s. His wife, Alma, typed up all Harry’s notes and they were assembled into the five volume set called Hoodoo, Conjuration, Witchcraft and Rootwork.  These volumes are much more than a collection of spells and hoodoo tales.  They are a remarkable snap shot of African American culture, captured by a an unassuming minister who greatly loved the folks he spoke to and who was willing to travel, at his own expense, to speak with them about their lives, their stories and their histories.

"Hoodoo - Conjuration - Witchcraft - Rootwork" (HCWR) is a 5-volume, 4766-page collection of folkloric material gathered by Hyatt in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia between 1936 and 1940. Supplementary interviews were conducted in Florida in 1970.

The "Hoodoo" collection consists of 13,458 separate magic spells and folkloric beliefs, plus lengthy interviews with professional root doctors, conjures, and hoodoos. All but one of Hyatt's 1600 informants were African-Americans, but several narrations by European-Americans (collected for his earlier book, "Folklore From Adams County, Illinois") were also included

The collection of volumes were produced in five different print runs.  The earliest book was the titled Folklore from Adams County, IL (FACI) and it featured many snippets of stories, spells and magical incantations from all kinds of people. Hyatt was exploring his hobby and talked to African Americans as well as Europeans. Hyatt appeared to be cataloging stories from everyone he could locate within a specific area. There are two volumes in this little collection - if you can call over 10,000 entries little! The first edition was printed in 1935, followed by a second edition in 1965. Both of these copies are rarely offered on the public market today and are virtually nonexistent outside of a library or private collection.

  • Michael Bertiaux - The Voudon Gnostic Workbook

Downloaded: 86 times | Size: 653 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @500 credits

A long-awaited new edition of the seminal text on the spiritual system that is a convergence of Gnosticism and Haitian voodoo, The Voudon Gnostic Workbook is a singular sacred work that is comprehensive in scope--from "how to be a lucky Hoodoo" to how magick and voodoo intersect energetically, to esoteric time travel. Complete with charts and graphs and instructive interdimensional physics, The Voudon Gnostic Workbook is an "object of desire" among students of the occult.

Weiser's long-anticipated republication of this rare text will be an event in the annals of esoteric publishing, as the book itself is somewhat of an "unholy grail." There are listservers devoted to it and much discussion of the mysteries held within its pages. While The Voudon Gnostic Workbook has remained a controversial book considered important for masters of metaphysics, it recently came into popular culture and renewed popularity when Grant Morrison revealed it had been the inspiration for his cult comics The Invisibles, using the cribbed time travel from Bertiaux' s masterwork. Voodoo is not an evil religion and is much misunderstood. It derives from the Dahomean Gods called the "Loa." Esoteric voodoo is actually a highly practical procedure for leading us into making contact with the deepest levels of our being and most ancient modes of consciousness. Michael Bertiaux's Voudon Gnostic Workbook is the most comprehensive and illuminating contemporary book on the subject. Launched out of a correspondence course and series of classes for students and followers of Voudon Gnosticism and the OTO, this seminal text is at once one of the most mysterious and magnificent of all esoteric books.

"This book is a must-have for any serious occult student's library." --Christopher Penczak, author of Gay Witchcraft and several best-selling Pagan books. "Voundoun, popularly referred to as "Voodoo," has held a great mystique for Westerners for centuries--inspiring tantalizing legends of "voodoo dolls," "zombies," and ecstatic possession during wild orgiastic rituals of drumming and dancing. Bizarre depictions of "Voodoo" have featured in many Hollywood movies since Voodoo Woman, a 1957 horror film now considered to be one of the 50 worst films ever made. The ghost of Marie LaVeau, the famous "Voodoo Queen of New Orleans," still haunts the graveyards and bayous of urban myth. But behind the myths and legends have always lurked the deeper Mysteries of an ancient tradition of magic and spirituality rooted in the blood-drenched soil of Western Africa, from which generations of tribal peoples were captured and transported into lives of slavery in the plantations of America and the Caribbean. The fear in which "Voodoo" has been held for centuries attests to its power. This long-awaited grimoire of authentic Voundoun will be a treasured gem in any occult library!" • The Five Tibetan Rites

Downloaded: 85 times | Size: 46 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits

Ancient & alternative treatments for catastrophic diseases. The Five Tibetan Rites is a system of exercises reported to be more than 2,500 years old.

A British army officer Colonel Bradford (a pseudonym) heard a story about a group of lamas who had apparently discovered a "Fountain of Youth". The "wandering natives", as he called them, told him of old men who inexplicably became healthy, strong, and full of "vigor and virility" after entering a particular lamasery. After retiring, Kelder's Colonel Bradford went on to discover the lamasery and lived with the lamas, where they taught him five exercises, which they called "rites".

According to the booklet, the lamas describe seven spinning, "psychic vortexes" within the body: two of these are in the brain, one at the base of the throat, one on the right side of the body in the vicinity of the liver, one in the reproductive anatomy, and one in each knee. As we grow older, the spin rate of the vortexes diminishes, resulting in "ill-health". However, the spin rate of these vortexes can be restored by performing the Five Rites daily, resulting in improved health.
