For centuries, familiars have assumed many forms-the heavenly lover of the shaman, the wise imp of the witch, and the elemental companion of the theurgist. But the time-honored practice of summoning a magical assistant has been mostly forsaken due to the false perception that it is both difficult and dangerous. Now, renowned occultist Donald Tyson shares his revolutionary system for safely and successfully summoning, directing, and dismissing a familiar. Accessible to dedicated beginners, these techniques do not require expertise in formal ritual, astrology, or the Revealed here for the first time is Tyson's unique system for generating spirit sigils based on a set of symbols called Power Glyphs. Familiars summoned by this method become valuable assistants who will do everything in their power to fulfill your goals.

Quantum Sorcery examines the connection between quantum physics and sorcery by asking the question "How does Magick actually work?" The author examines how magical practices can be explained by scientific disciplines, while also exploring how to integrate science and sorcery together. In this book you will learn: • How to incorporate elements of earlier magical systems with contemporary sorcery and Quantum Physics • Why quantum physics can explain how magic works • How to use scientific principles to improve your magical practice

  • Philip H. Farber - Meta-Magick - The Book of ATEM - Achieving New States of Consciousness Through NLP Neuroscience and Ritual

Downloaded: 12 times | Size: 169 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits

In Meta-Magick: The Book of Atem, Philip H. Farber combines traditional ritual sensibilities with contemporary concepts of neurolinguistics and memetics to create a unique entity - Atem. In this instance, the essence of an entity is encoded in a book and activated by the reader. At the same time, the book is a comprehensive manual of evocation, containing dozens of easy-to-follow rituals and exercises for exploring and creating magical entities of every sort. Farber teaches readers to wake up from their habitual trance, to reprogram themselves to stand in the Mystery without unnecessary mystification. This supercharged fusion of tried-and-true magical and psychological techniques moves beyond trauma, healing, and recovery into self-fulfillment and self-transformation. Combining both disciplines with methods such as intentionality, autohypnosis, visualization, personification, and experiential journeys, Farber creates a powerful system that opens the way to peak experiences, self-knowledge, even cosmic consciousness. Rather than importing standardized healing images, readers learn to create their own emergent metaphors, their own creative strengths and flexible freedom.

Atem is a living Magus, an icon for the twenty-first century. Part transpersonal shaman, part inner guide, part inner healer, part role model, Atem becomes a personal therapist, a guide to self-discovery and self-initiation. Atem, as healing fiction, helps readers to create their own breakthroughs, their own catharsis - emotional clearing that frees energy from internal conflict to flow creatively into new expressions.

  • Jan Fries - Seidways: shaking, swaying and serpent mysteries

Downloaded: 12 times | Size: 326 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @300 credits

Manual of rune magick, and Visual Magick, a handbook of freestyle shamanism, comes the definitive study of magical trance and possession techniques. The author is inspired by the Nordic tradition of Seidr, said to have been taught to the human race by Odin. The book provides an extensive survey of the manifestation of this powerful technique through several related magical traditions - shamanism, mesmerism, draconian cults and even the nightside of European paganism. Seething is probably the most useful magical technique I have ever learned. I first was taken by the pleasure of it. My body felt warm and sensual, and seething in the hips felt quite sexual. I liked the feeling of my body taking over where the shaking was first voluntary - but I could still have some control, making the shaking stronger or more subtle. After a while I started to see visions - something that very rarely happens to me. I could see (with my physical eyes, not astrally!) the surface of the land in the centre of the circle rippling, like waves of energy. It was a really moving experience in a site that - until then - had not been particularly 'special' to me... it ..has had a major impact upon my magical work which used to be largely indoors, as at last I have found a way that I can work outdoors. This gives my magical work a potency that it simply didn't have before. - Shantidevi quoted in chapter twelve 'Rhythms and the Mind'

  • Patrick Dunn - Magic Power Language Symbol

Downloaded: 10 times | Size: 266 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @100 credits

From the sigils of chaos magic to the numerical code of Qabalah, all magical practices operate in a web of symbols and language. Yet academics seldom examine the role that semiotics and linguistics play in the unfolding of magical works.

In the follow-up to his debut Postmodern Magic, Patrick Dunn returns once again to the theoretical realm of the sign, the signified, and the changeable perceptions of a slippery reality. Intellectual and aggressively modern, his language-driven perspective on magic touches on all elements voiced and written, from speaking in tongues and creating mantras to composing Enochian spells and working with gematria. A hefty appendix includes exercises that put Dunn's theories to work, as well as the first published dictionary of English alphabet numerology.

Highly literate and highly readable, Magic, Power, Language, Symbol will tickle the minds of theory-thirsty academics and seasoned mages alike, as well as anyone else eager to examine the manufacture of meaning.

  • Patrick Dunn - Postmodern Magic: The Art of Magic in the Information Age

Fresh ideas for the modern mage lie at the heart of this thought-provoking guide to magic theory. Approaching magical practice from an information paradigm, Patrick Dunn provides a unique and contemporary perspective on an ancient practice. Dunn teaches all about symbol systems, magical artifacts, sigils, spirits, elementals, languages, and magical journeys, and explains their significance in magical practice. There are also exercises for developing magic skills, along with techniques for creating talismans, servitors, divination decks, and your own astral temple.

  • [ recommended ] Nick Hall - Chaos & Sorcery

Downloaded: 8 times | Size: 127 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @300 credits

Rather than invest belief in abstruse metaphysical theory, Nick Hall has chosen here to build a system from an eclectic range of practical procedures culled from many cultures. Informing the whole treatise however is the chaoist meta-belief that belief structures reality. This is pragmatic magick at its best. Devise or discover a technique that seems worth investing belief in, and if you can validate it, include it in your grimoire, without worrying how or why it works. Many times in the course of reading this text I stopped to make a note of something that seemed worth trying out. That, I think, is the mark of a useful book. Unless the vast majority of the magicians work in complete isolation from their more public peers, then the ratio of civilians who merely collect magic books to actual working magicians may be estimated at ninety to one. This is a book for the one-percenters, although it may inspire the rest to actually pick up a wand for a change. All it takes is guts and imagination, not much specialist knowledge is required - Peter J. Carroll

  • Peter J. Carroll - The Apophenion

Downloaded: 6 times | Size: 163 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @100 credits

Apophenion attacks most of the great questions of being, free will, consciousness, meaning, the nature of mind, and humanity's place in the cosmos, from a magical perspective. Some of the conclusions seem to challenge many of the deeply held assumptions that our culture has taught us, so brace yourself for the paradigm crash and look for the jewels revealed in the wreckage. This book contains something to offend everyone; enough science to upset the magicians, enough magic to upset the scientists, and enough blasphemy to upset most trancendentalists.

  • Stephen Mace - Shaping Formless Fire: Distilling the Quintessence of Magick

Downloaded: 5 times | Size: 96 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @50 credits

Magick depends upon no abstract philosophies, and doing it requires neither devotion to any god or demon nor knowledge of the True Keys of the Mysteries. Instead it is a technique for recognizing and manipulating psychic energy, both within the psyche and outside it, and for acquiring the mental skills we need to do this effectively. If the details of this technique can seem involved, well, the psyche is a complicated instrument, and psychic energy is slippery stuff to deal with. We must learn to manage it within our psyches and also to split it off so it can act independently to produce the "meaningful coincidences" we require.

Magick is a psychic technology, a collection of observations about psychic energy and the techniques for manipulating it. Shaping Formless Fire presents these with a simple elegance that contradicts the notion that Magick must remain a hidden art. There is psychic energy with us and all around us. We use its power to make our worlds, and to master it is to learn how to make the worlds we require. To see it as merely the way we perceive the world is to put ourselves at its mercy, and forfeit its power.

Stephen Maces "Stealing the Fire from Heaven - A Technique for Creating Individual Systems of Sorcery" is often touted as an excellent starting point for the aspiring magician/sorcerer as well as the experienced magician. Dagon Productions is proud to announce the publishing of the revised and expanded version of "Stealing the Fire from Heaven".

"This essay offers a technique that individuals can use to create their own systems of sorcery, systems precisely tailored to fit their own unconscious minds. By following its instructions, the reader can cause his or her subliminal self to design its own symbols to represent the powers that lie within it. The result will be what is essentially a personal language of power, one that has meaning only for his or her self, but full of potency because it is his or her own soul’s way of expressing itself." - Stephen Mace

  • Stephen Flowers - Galdrabok: Icelandic Grimoire

Downloaded: 4 times | Size: 135 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @500 credits

The Galdrabok is split into two parts: a history of ancient (particularly Icelandic) magick and a variety of Icelandic and Teutonic magick spells. Flowers' historical account is interesting even if you do not believe in the existance of magick. This account is particularly interesting if you are researching this topic; I have not seen too many books that go as in-depth as Flowers does. Flowers also includes one or two sets of runes for those interested. For those interested in the applications of the spells, Flowers includes an extensive list (and how to work the spell) for everything from staunching blood (this one actually works) to good luck charms. He informs the reader as to what materials are required, as well as what the characters (called "staves") should look like. Flowers also includes an extensive bibliography for those wanting more information on the subject. As with most books on magick, Flowers suggests that you be careful, but not in a "standard" way. Rather, Flowers tells of one overly-eager magician who hungered for more and more powere - he was destroyed by that which he sought.
