  • William G. Gray - The Ladder of Lights: A Step by Step Guide to the Tree of Life and the Four Worlds of the Qabalists Including the Angelic and Archangelic Realms

Downloaded: 53 times | Size: 230 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @300 credits

Gray takes a step-by-step look at the Ten Sephiroth and their traditional attributions in each of the Four Qabalistic Worlds. A relatively simple, no-nonsense approach to modern Qabalism. It uses simple language, and very clever symbolism to explain the workings of it. It analyzes each of the ten Sephiroth from each of the Four Qabalistic worlds, providing the reader with something sorely missed in Dion Fortune's classic book on the subject.

The Tree of Life is growing, flexible and adaptable life pattern capable of indefinite extensions throughout all states of existence. The Qabalah, or "received teachings," is the outcome of experiences of those who have climbed the ladder of the Tree by arranging their lives according to its pattern of perfection. The Tree provides the means of receiving inner world contacts with types of consciuosness normally inaccessible to the ordinary human mind--it is from and through these sources that the "teaching" comes. Here William Gray has presented a step by step guide to the Tree of Life and the Four Worlds of the Qabalahs--the worlds of contemplation, meditation, magic and daily action. The Tree of Life is a means and not an end. It is a map for helping you attain the single objective common to all systems, mysteries and religions--namely, the mystical union of humanity and divinity.

The importance of the Tree of Life when looked at from its negative side will give the reader new perspective of the spiritual path. Ignorance of universal law can mean that when you think you are doing "good", you may actually be doing "evil". Consciousness is the key. This is an important book for occult students on any path.

  • William G. Gray - Magical Ritual Methods

Downloaded: 55 times | Size: 301 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @500 credits

The first sentence in this booksays it all: "There is probably more rubbish written about magicthan anything else..." Then Gray proceeds to build a very workablefoundation of magickal practice. His deep detail is something thatis painfully missing from most of these recent-vintage magickalmanuals. The reader learns about proper grounding and centering, constructing workable psychic shielding, the use of sound inchants and rites, and the proper construction and use of ritualtools. The various parts of a working rite of Magick areexplained- even down to the postures of the celebrants. The bookis oriented more towards the temple-style of practice, but itsmethods can be employed in Wiccan and other paths, too. This bookis not really for beginners, but it needs to be on the shelf ofevery serious practitioner and magickal teacher. Throughout theages, the workings of magical ritual have been shrouded in moresecrecy than probably any other subject. The peculiar secrecysurrounding magical practices is not altogether intentional--howcan mere description of the purely physical aspects of ritualismpossibly convey its deep significance? Knowing this conciously orinstinctively, practitioners of magical rites have maintainedsilence or given such vague descriptions of their activities thatlittle practical use can be made of them. Now there is aguidebook, intended for the Western student on the path ofspiritual consciousness. William Gray pulls all the "hows's" and"why's" of ceremonial magic together in one volume and providesthe student with practical means for its proper operation andstudy. People are drawn toward ritual practice because it fulfillsa need on a deep spiritual level that nothing else will fill. Grayshows us how to arrange and direct our own studies, and gives usthe basics to make magical ritual work for us, to extend our humanconsciousness toward Truth and Light.

In this book, the author writesfrom within me magic tradition. He places emphasis on how theQabalah actively influences the Western Mystery Tradition."Grayhas the ability to bring a very abstract subject, the Qabalah, down to the level where it can be comprehended by nearly anyone...to understandable terms without destroying its essence"

  • William Gray - An Outlook On Our Inner Western Way

Downloaded: 16 times | Size: 159 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @300 credits

William Gray is one of the mostprolific--and controversial--occultists writing today. Blendingkeen insight, modern psychological models and an overall sense ofpracticality, his books have torn away at the moldy veils ofso-called occult secrets, laying out a no-nonsense foundation bywhich modern Western humanity may once again regain its preciousmagical soul. In this book, Mr. Gray shows, simply and lucidly, how to live the Western Inner Tradition. Tracing the cosmology ofWestern magic, he substantiates its vitality and urgency for ourfuture. Not since Magick in Theory and Practice and the works ofDion Fortune has there been such a mammoth attempt at presentingmagic as the relevant, living tradition it is

  • William Gray - The Rollright Ritual

Downloaded: 10 times | Size: 173 pages | Add to wishlist | Download for @100 credits

In the early 1970s the redoubtable old occultist William G. Gray bicycled from his Gloucestershire home to the Rollright stone circle in Oxfordshire on a clear and full-mooned summer night. The visionary experiences he encountered on that night and in other similar visits resulted in the writing of this book, originally published by Helios Books in 1975 and now a classic among pagan and craft traditions. The text of the ritual is given in full, along with a discussion of its pattern and purpose. The Rollright Ritual is a powerful initiatory rite for attuning oneself to a personal and communal path of spiritual growth, presented here with an explanatory text and a discussion of the spiritual lives and practices of the stone circle builders of Great Britain. Somehow, we ought to get away from ideas that a Standing Stone is only an outworn sign of our past, and see it as an upraised Finger of Fate beckoning us ahead toward our future. The Stone is not merely a memorial of bygone beliefs, but a pointer that should raise our highest hopes of finding faith in all the Life that lies ahead of us.

  • William Gray - Temple Magic: Building the Personal Temple: Gatewayto Inner Worlds

As with all of William Gray'sbook if you are looking to win someone's affections or turnyourself into a demon you have come to the wrong place. Rather theserious student or the seriously interested, but uninitiated coulddo no better. This book builds upon previous works inintelligently and accessibly presenting "occult" theory andpractice (though one does have to read a bit between the lines, this is no more difficult then any other philosophical orreligious treatise)-(the practice part is not usually Step 1, etc,it is: further study, or meditating on this, etc.). A good bookfor the middle way

William G. Grayexpounds clearly the most important ritual of the SangrealSodality in this book. It is similar to a Christian mass, but itis not. The concepts of what the san-greal (royal blood), qabalah, and other elements of this tradition including the meaning of thesymbol used by the Sangreal Sodality are explained. I think thisbook is good because it is meant to allow people, such as myselfor you, to create a Sangreal Sodality with others. This is whatWilliam Gray mentions in the book in it's later chapters. Heassociates his writing this book with the work of others in the1600's who allowed for the formation of the Rosicrucian Movement. They wrote books/pamphlets with a set of ideals that wouldeventually be crystalized by the people who read the documentswritten for that tradition
