  • 501 Website Secrets Unleashed: Unleash the Power of Google®, Amazon®, eBay®, and More by Michael Miller (435 pages) What kind of secrets are included in 501 Web Site Secrets? Well, there’s parts of a site you didn’t know existed. Or ways to use the site that you weren’t aware of. Or special commands that help you get even more out of the site than you could before. Cool stuff like that—and more. That’s the nature of a secret—something that most users don’t know about, but would get a kick out of if they did. These are the kinds of things that will make you say to yourself, “That’s cool—I didn’t know you could do that!” And then you’ll want to go directly to the site to try the secret out for yourself. (Go ahead; it’s allowed.) Of course, not all 501 secrets in this book will be new to you. If you’re Internet savvy at all, you’ll probably know some of what I reveal in these pages. That’s okay; it only means that you’re on your toes. I’m sure, however, that you’ll find more than a few secrets you didn’t know, and that they’ll make this book a worthwhile read for you. To be fair, many of these secrets are hidden in plain sight. There are few secrets in this book that are deliberately concealed from the general public. Most so called secrets are things that are there if you look for them—and if you know where to look. You can discover lots of secrets on your own just by clicking all the links on all the pages of your favorite sites and poring over every single page of the site’s help system. The sad fact is, most users never get beyond a site’s home page—and there aren’t too many secrets there!

We see how he operates day to day--how he runs his business and how he runs his life--as he chats with friends and family, clashes with enemies, efficiently buys up Atlantic City's top casinos, changes the face of the New York City skyline , . . and plans the tallest building in the world. But even a maverick plays by rules, and here Tru. formulates his eleven guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest deals; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks--really talks--about how he does it. For those with some savings, he offers specific advice on building equity and increasing net worth significantly and quickly. He also stresses the importance of developing multiple income streams, offering chapters on real estate, stocks and bonds, consulting, direct mail, and other opportunities. In addition to concrete steps, Masterson also writes about attitude and expectations. His first step, in fact, is to take an honest and realistic assessment of your current financial situation and prepare yourself to change habits. • The Automatic Millionaire : A Powerful One-Step Plan to Live and Finish Rich. Bach, author of several bestsellers including Smart Women Finish Rich and Smart Couples Finish Rich, offers a simple prescriptive plan for financial security. The secret: the astonishingly vanilla "Pay Yourself First," which, in Bach's words, is "the one proven, easy way to get rich." Instead of worrying about taxes, budgeting or investing, the key, according to Bach, is to set aside between 10% and 15% of gross income for savings the equivalent of one hour's worth of income every day. While this strategy may seem obvious, many people don't take this basic step. That's why Bach says everyone should write down their "Automatic Millionaire Promise," which spells out what percentage of their income they will start saving by a certain date. To insure that people carry through on their efforts, Bach says they should have deposits automatically made to a retirement account. Then, the next step is to capitalize on the power of compounding by contributing the maximum amount to, say, an employer's 401(k) account. To help readers navigate the maze of investment choices, Bach includes contact information for a number of mutual funds and Web sites offering authoritative financial information. Bach's key principle, along with such advice as buying real estate, paying down debt and making charitable deductions, is not groundbreaking; and regrettably, it may be unrealistic for many: tens of millions of Americans are in serious credit card debt because they can't make ends meet on their salaries; how, then, are they to save so much of their gross income? However, his easygoing approach, complete with real-life examples and clever phrases such as "Latte Factor," will appeal to the many money-challenged consumers who have made a New Year's resolution to get their finances on a firmer footing. Leadership

  • Warren Blank - The 108 Skills of Natural Born Leaders (284 pages) Some people appear to be "natural born leaders." But are they literally born that way? Or have they been taught, coached, rewarded, and reinforced in ways that enable them to be leaders? According to The 108 Skills of Natural Born Leaders, no one is born a leader. But everyone has the natural born capacity to lead. We label people "natural born leaders" because they consistently and frequently model qualities that inspire others to commit to their direction. This book identifies the skill set that causes others to see people as natural born leaders, helps readers assess their current level of these skills, and coaches readers to master their weak areas. Readers will learn: * Foundation skills, including self-awareness and the ability to establish rapport * Direction skills, including the ability to set a course and develop others as leaders * Willing follower skills, including the ability to influence others and create a motivating environment.

  • Principle Centered Leadership by Stephen R Covey (17 Mb MP3s file) The great "angst" of life has seemingly gripped us all, and there seems to be no limit to the number of writers offering answers to the great perplexities of life. Covey, however, is the North Star in this field. Following his successful Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (S. & S., 1989), Covey now responds to the particular challenges of business leaders by applying his natural laws, or principles, of life to organizations. Covey explains these laws (security, guidance, wisdom, and power), and discusses how seven-habits practice and focus on these principles will result in personal and organizational transformation. He reminds us that personal and organizational success is hard work, requires unwavering commitment and long-term perspective, and is achievable only if we are prepared for a complete paradigm shift in our perspective. Without hesitation, strongly recommended for all management collections.

  • John C. Maxwell - 25 Ways to Win with People (31.2MB zipped MP3s) A slim companion to Maxwell's bestselling Winning with People, this volume aims to teach readers skills that will help them improve their interpersonal relationships. Using a tag-team approach, with Parrott kicking off each topic and Maxwell butting in for a "Mentoring Moment" every few pages, the authors offer up familiar nuggets of advice such as "Pass the Credit on to Others," "Listen with Your Heart" and "Point Out People's Strengths." While the book supposedly offers "specific skills that can be mastered in a matter of days," workable suggestions are unfortunately lost in the avalanche of fawning praise that Parrott heaps upon Maxwell. Most chapters include notes such as, "I've watched John for years... Everything he does, he does with excellence." Statements such as this serve no purpose and turn a potentially viable advice book into an outlet for praise and platitudes.

  • John C. Maxwell - Becoming a Person of Influence (36.9MB zipped MP3s) Whatever your vocation or aspiration, you can increase your impact on others by becoming a person of influence. Learn simple, insightful ways to interact more positively with others, and watch your personal and organizational success go off the charts.

  • John C. Maxwell - The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader: Becoming the Person Others Will Want to Follow (45.2MB zipped MP3s) Why do some people consistently inspire others to follow their lead? According to John C. Maxwell, author of 24 books and a regular speaker on the topic, it's the "character qualities" they possess. In The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader, Maxwell identifies these top traits as character, charisma, commitment, communication, competence, courage, discernment, focus, generosity, initiative, listening, passion, positive attitude, problem-solving, relationships, responsibility, security, self-discipline, servanthood, teachability, and vision--and then defines them in ways that readers can absorb and utilize. Each is covered in a separate chapter opening with a high-concept definition and continuing with relevant anecdotes, details on its meaning, suggestions for further reflection, and exercises for improvement. For example, in the section on vision ("You can seize only what you can see"), Maxwell describes how Walt Disney initially developed the theme-park concept after accompanying his daughters to a fun-filled but rather shabby amusement park. He then analyzes how Disney's resultant projects drew on his personal history while meeting other's needs, and explains how readers must "listen to several voices" to develop successful foresight in a similar way. Finally, Maxwell suggests methods to articulate these visions and measure their implementation.

  • John C. Maxwell - The 21 Most Powerful Minutes in a Leaders Day: Revitalize Your Spirit and Empower Your Leadership (38.3MB zipped MP3s) While a few people appear to be born leaders, the ability to lead is actually a collection of skills, nearly all of which can be learned and sharpened. Based on his New York Times bestseller The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, author John C. Maxwell presents a daily plan to help you grow as a leader in your personal, professional, and spiritual life.

  • John C. Maxwell - Running With the Giants (19.4MB zipped MP3s) Himself an inspiration to millions through his motivational speeches and bestselling books, John C. Maxwell reaches out to the leading icons of the Old Testament for the life and leadership lessons conveyed in his thought-provoking albeit slim Running with the Giants. Maxwell, author of The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and a half-dozen other books on the topic, writes here that biblical personalities like Abraham, Joseph, and Moses can provide us with the real "inspiration, wisdom, and empowerment" we need to lead. For example, Maxwell explains, Noah's actions teach us that "one person can make a difference"; he then fleshes out relevant maxims like "Don't be afraid to stand out in a crowd" and "Don't be afraid to do something for the first time" to bring this concept into the 21st century. Likewise, the servant girl from the book of Kings shows us how "one small act can make a big difference," but for it to happen today one must be confident and credible and "speak to people's needs." Those committed to the sources from which Maxwell draws will particularly appreciate his take on the lessons they impart, as well as his athletically inspired theme and contemporary presentation.

  • Visionary Leadership Skills - Creating a World to Which People Want to Belong by Robert B. Dilts (275 pages) If you are a manager and want to discover the secret of what leadership is and start your journey to that new dimension this is a great book to learn how to do it and guide you through the process. if you are a facilitator or a consultant it's a great tool to be used in your work with people and corporate. There is always some new insight that comes up every time you read it and you can develop with it an amazingly powerful frame in which anything is clearer and easier and ... Powerful! This book applies the principles of several NLP models that Dilts has been developping over the years to the domain of leadership. This includes "neuro-logical levels" (alignment between mission, values and competencies/ going from vision to action / situating leadership models on their logical level, ...), "Walt Disney's creativity strategy" (creating the future, turning dreams into reality), several belief strategies (e.g. for assessing motivation for change), ... The formats, worksheets and exercises in this book are typical for Dilts and may be well known for those that have read some of this other books, but if you haven't read anything from him or you want to apply his work in the business world, this material will be very useful.

  • The Inspirational Leader - How to Motivate, Encourage & Achieve Success by John Eric Adair (208 pages) Through this accessible approach, the author offers guidance on how to develop the confidence and competence to become an inspiring leader. There is no magic formula, but the valuable advice presented will help aspiring leaders to realize their potential. Leadership guru John Adair talked with a bright young executive about leaders and the tenets of leadership, and recorded the conversations in this unique, philosophical book. Adair addresses tough questions about leadership and drills down beyond management and deep into human nature. He doesn't bother with leadership buzzwords, but instead discusses in meaningful terms the qualities that make a leader effective. People aren't born leaders, Adair says, they are made. Although the book is a bit too philosophical at times, the conversations between the author and the young executive are thought provoking, and the quotes peppered throughout the book are memorable. If you aspire to transform your management abilities into true leadership skills, we encourage you to sit down with the professor and his young protégé and enjoy the conversation.

  • The Bible On Leadership: From Moses to Matther - Management Lessons for Contemporary Leaders by Lorin Woolfe (254 pages) Millions have been inspired by the Bible's spiritual lessons. Now, Lorin Woolfe provides a unique way to view the Bible . . . for leadership lessons that can be applied to our modern business world. Consider David's courage and innovation in slaying Goliath with just a stone and a sling; Moses' outstanding "succession planning" in picking Joshua; Joseph and the political skills that brought him to the seat of power; and of course, Jesus' compassion, communication skills, and vision that launched Christianity (a long-term success by any measure). These are leaders among leaders. Their achievements -- and their inspired methods of achievement -- offer a wholly different perspective on business leadership.

  • Jeffrey J. Fox - How to Become a Great Boss: The Rules for Getting and Keeping the Best Employees (29.6MB zipped MP3s) Employment is a contract with obligations on both sides. Fox's articulate presentation of values and principles focuses on the vital process of staffing and managing an organization. Hiring people, managing them, and firing them when they need to go are core executive functions that often are ignored in today's information-obsessed corporations. Fox's insights are grounded in age-old conflicts between ego and results, partnership and competition, self and organization. His primer on evaluating an employee's performance, attitude, and priorities is a common sense guide to communicating and socializing when you're the boss. An essential guide on what matters in management.

  • Jonar C. Nader - How to Lose Friends and Infuriate People (27MB zipped MP3s) Jonar Nader knows his thoughts on business and leadership won't appeal to everyone. But this writer-consultant-speaker-philosopher, who grandiosely calls himself a Post-Tentative Virtual Surrealist, certainly doesn't lack for ideas. Between one section on skills for today ("life management" and creativity) and another on those for the future (management trends and customer service), he addresses broad topics like leadership and teamwork and how they can more effectively enable people to coexist. Some comments seem intentionally inflammatory ("stop the insatiable urge to survey everything that moves" and "diplomacy is a waste of time"), but many are tied to proposals for personal and corporate advancement that are truly intriguing, even if they have little chance of widespread adoption. Case in point: his proposition for "fluid shares," a compensatory plan in which everyone is paid equally and rewarded or penalized equally according to profits. Personnel at the top obviously won't like this, but Nader brushes aside this objection, claiming it's for the general good. "Those who are infuriated (should) resign gracefully because their selfish attitude is the one that has been conflicting with the organization for a long time," he writes. Few will find such notions truly feasible, but open-minded readers may appreciate where he's going and perhaps even develop some ideas for shaking things up on their own.

  • [ recommended ] Who Moved My Cheese? An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life by Dr. Spencer Johnson (39 pages) Change can be a blessing or a curse, depending on your perspective. The message of Who Moved My Cheese? is that all can come to see it as a blessing, if they understand the nature of cheese and the role it plays in their lives. Who Moved My Cheese? is a parable that takes place in a maze. Four beings live in that maze: Sniff and Scurry are mice--nonanalytical and nonjudgmental, they just want cheese and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Hem and Haw are "littlepeople,"mouse-size humans who have an entirely different relationship with cheese. It's not just sustenance to them; it's their self-image. Their lives and belief systems are built around the cheese they've found. Most of us reading the story will see the cheese as something related to our livelihoods--our jobs, our career paths, the industries we work in--although it can stand for anything, from health to relationships. The point of the story is that we have to be alert to changes in the cheese, and be prepared to go running off in search of new sources of cheese when the cheese we have runs out.

One problem is that books on the topic are complex, technically dense, and difficult for Forex novices to grasp.

FOREX Made Easy is the first book to approach the topic in a detailed yet accessible style, gradually and deliberately moving from simple to complex in easy and natural language. Author James Dicks--founder of the popular trading software 4X Made Easy--draws upon his trading knowledge to give readers only the information they need, from setting up a workstation to trading electronically.

This Forex guidebook provides traders with:

    * Dozens of examples to illustrate key points
    * An easy-to-follow, six-step process for FOREX trading
    * Methods for gaining an advantage using technical analysis
