Solomonic Grimoires
▲
Much has been said about King Solomon and his biblical standing is
so great as a man of wisdom that is was always believed that God
must have given him powers above all others to appear so wise.
Over the centuries, this image of Solomon as a magician, able to
control the world around him has given rise to books of magic
claiming to be the true transcription of his magical formulae.

synopsis "Goetia [refers to] all the
operations of that Magick which deals with gross, malignant or
unenlightened forces." Goetia is sometimes thought of as a wild
card, something that can get out of control, something which
expresses the operator's lower desires to control others and
improve his own personal life. And, in fact, this potential loss
of control, this danger, the desire for self improvement and great
power is exactly what attracts many people to Goetia while
horrifying and repelling others. Crowley's Goetia is brought to
life with vivid illustrations of the demons. Commentary by
DuQuette and Hyatt bring the ancient arts into the modern day.

Carroll "Poke" Runyon - Book of Solomon's Magick
(243 pages)
@500 This book presents unique and
effective practical methods for invoking angels into a crystal
ball and evoking spirits to visible appearance in a dark mirror.
It is the companion book to "The Magick of Solomon" video produced
by the same author. The techniques taught in this system are
hypnotic and subjective. No special psychic talents are required
to master this system. The author guides the reader step-by-step
to proficiency in the ancient art of Magick.
-
Poke Runyon - The Magick of Solomon (521MB zipped movie file)
Companion to the above book. An
80 minutes video documentary written and
narrated by anthropologist and ceremonial magician, Carroll "Poke"
Runyon, Magister of America's oldest continually operating Magical
Lodge, the Ordo Templi Astartes (O.T.A.). The first part of the
video offers a history of Western Magick, illustrated with
graphics and displays, setting forth the author's theory, based on
his own research and experiments, that visions of spirits obtained
by magicians in medieval times were subjective and hypnotic rather
than hysterical hallucinations. Runyon holds that the practical
technique for achieving this was the visual distortion which
occurs when a person stares at his or her reflection in a dark
mirror. This technique is demonstrated and visions are simulated.
The relationship of the "72 Rebellious Spirits" contained in King
Solomon's legendary "Brass Vessel" to the Holy Angels who control
them is explained and a hypnotic method for invoking these Angels
into a Crystal Ball is demonstrated. According to the narrator,
these two systems should be integrated for a proper spiritual
balance. The video climaxes with the presentation of a complete
Goetia Evocation Operation, in full ceremonial regalia, summoning
the spirit Astaroth (actually the Canaanite Goddess, Astarte) to
visual appearance in the dark mirror on the Triangle of Art.

Book
II (128 pages)
synopsis
The Magus has proved to be the most sought after set of books
on magic and alchemy ever published. There is very good reason
for this. These books are powerful, and were considered so
dangerous that for many years, rare copies could only be found
in certain libraries, locked away from the general public and
from those who would use (or misuse) its power. The original
set of books was first published in 1801 by its author,
Francis Barrett, who had an extensive background in the
medieval and occult sciences. He spent many years of diligent
study before releasing them. His premise for the material,
that is, before putting anything into these books, Barrett
first subjected the various theories to certain tests that had
to be "substantiated by nature, truth, and experiment" first.
They were written for those seeking the key to the
philosopher's stone and the powers of magic. The illustrations
in this book were taken from ancient and medieval texts,
magical tables, planetary tables, talismans and images of
angels and demons. Book One covers natural magic, amulets and
charms, potions, precious stones, lights, candles, alchemy,
the philosopher's stone, transmutation, the four elements,
numbers, and planets. Book Two covers magnetic powers,
Cabalistic magic, the names of angels and spirits, the
performing of invocations, conjuring spirits, magic circles,
receiving oracles in dreams, positive and evil spirits, and
concludes with a major biographical section on the great
magicians of history.

The Practice of Magical Evocation
@300cr
Sacred Magick Edition
(350 pages)
In magical terms, the book is a practical guide to the
proper evocation of and communication with spiritual, magical and
divine entities. It is perhaps the only truly significant modern
study of direct contact with the universal teachers -- the other
major works in the field are products of the Medieval,
Renaissance, and Reformation periods. But beyond that, there is a
fascinating glimpse into a complete magical universe. Bardon
outlines a totally new and original hierarchy of magic, from the
spirits of the four elements to those of the various planets, and
even to each degree of the zodiac. Included with the names and
descriptions of the various entities are a collection of
previously unknown magical sigils, as well as a true account of
ancient astrology|

Papal Magick by
Simon (193 pages)
@300cr
It is acknowledged Church doctrine that sorcery is the specific
domain of the Devil. Yet occult tales are liberally sprinkled
throughout the Old and New Testaments, from the spirit-invoking
Witch of Endor to the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the
dead. Throughout its 2,000 year history, the Church has spawned
numerous mystical religious orders, like the Knights Templar, that
may have been engaged in supernatural pursuits, while no fewer
than three popes were believed to be involved in occult practices.
Christian scriptures tell us that the occult is real, while
Catholic priests are thought to have spiritual power over ghosts
and evil entities. But if a priest can cast out demons during the
rites of exorcism, does it not imply he has the ability to summon
them as well? In this eye-opening, provocative work, leading
occult scholar Simon examines the Church's unspoken relationship
with forbidden magic by exploring the infamous seventeenth-century
document considered by some to be the most demonic of all occult
texts —the Grimoire of Pope Honorius III—and illuminates the
Vatican's darkest hidden corners.

an eleven-chaptered Grimoirium detailing the arcana and composite

Which treats of the Secret Knowledge of Trees and Herbs, Deliver'd
by the Fallen Angels unto Man. An extensive grimorium of Wortcunning, or herb-magic, the
Pleasure-Garden treats of the secret knowledge of trees and herbs
as delivered by the Fallen Angels unto mankind. The book's
principal concerns are the sorcery and gnosis of the Greenwood, as
arising from the varied luminaries of the Eternal Gardens of the
Arte Magical. As a grimoire of Spiritual Botany, the Book is a
Hortus Conclusus of text and image intended for the indwelling of
these plant-spirits. The work encompasses magical practices,
formulae, and mystical exegesis, all treating the respective
arcana of Nature-Spirits and the powers of individual plants. Much
of the magical foci are on devotion, purity, humility, silence,
solitude, and the hieros-gamos of wortcunner and plant as a
tutelary relationship, in conjunction with the Mysteries of Cain,
first tiller of the soil. The whole is intended as a textual
reification of the Green Arts within the context of the Sabbatic
Craft Tradition, and within the greater ambit of Brythonic
plantlore and folk magic.

The Grand Grimoire
(34 pages)
A Practical Manual of Diabolic Evocation and Black Magick. The
text of Grand Grimoire has been translated by Ms. Gretchen
Rudy from the 1612 Italian edition, the primary source work for
this grimoire. Secondary sources include the 1823 French edition,
which was fraudulently backdated as 1521 and issued as the Red
Dragon. The Grand Grimoire was issued again in the
later seventeenth century with its original title, Grand
Grimoire. Interestingly, the original Italian edition also
includes the first published example of the Black Hen, or
Black Pullet and although extremely brief, it is the kernal
which was later elaborated on in subsequent editions as Le
Poule Noire.
The Grand Grimoire explains a system for entering into a
pact with three Infernal Spirits, Lucifer, Ashtaroth & Beelzebuth,
through the authority of the Prime Minister of Hell, Lucifuge
Rofocale. In this, the demonology of the Grand Grimoire
is unique; while some of the chief spirits are identical to those
in Grimoirium Verum, and others to Lemegeton Clavicula
Salomonis vel Regis, the Grand Grimoire stands alone in
the literature of demonology with its central figure, Lucifuge
Rofocale. The name 'Rofocale' appears to be an anagram for 'Focalor'
of the Lemegeton, according to Elizabeth Butler in her
Ritual Magic (1949) who goes on to tell us that "by
introducing the name of Lucifuge the author has done a service to
demonology for which it should be grateful." In his monumental
work Of Black Magic & Of Pacts (1898), Arthur E. Waite
states that the Grand Grimoire "must be regarded as the
veritable Magnum Opus" and he goes on to say that that Eliphas
Levi later adopted the personage of Lucifuge in his works.

Goetia: Luciferian Edition (77 pages)

Darkness is always
found within first. Your entire life has been found in
either an embrace of shadow or a carefully forgotten endless
banishing of it. The Luciferian Path instructs the student
to awaken darkness, to manifest demons from the abyss of the

self-mastery and the transformation into a Luciferic Spirit.
The Luciferian Goetia is a grimoire which presents the 72
Spirits of Solomon as daemonic forces within the mind
itself, giving possibility to their anthropomorphic
existence outside of humanity itself. The interpretation and
experience is as unique as the Shemhamforasch itself. Herein
is LEGION, the Book of Howling. Contains a different
approach to the 72 Demons, Invocations and Evocations
written by a Luciferian and a working methodology on
summoning and controlling powerful forces.

updated, but Georg Dehn, the compiler and editor, has sourced his
work from all extant manuscripts, while Mathers used just one. The
result is a stunning new translation that has already set the
occult world abuzz. It includes voluminous important material left
out of Mathers’ work, including an entire Part 2 filled with
magical recipes, important distinctions in the Knowledge and
Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel ritual, and complete word
grids that were only partially completed by Mathers. This is an
essential work for any serious practicing magician or student of

epilogue to the core Necronomicon. It is supposedly written by a
"Mad Arab". The name Abdul Alhazred does not appear in this text,
however; the author remains nameless. The first part tells how the
Mad Arab first came to know of the existence of the dark secrets
he is writing down (by accidentally witnessing an arcane ritual
performed by a cult of the Ancient Ones). In second part, the Mad
Arab is haunted by demons and monsters. He fears that his gods
have foresaken him due to some sin he believes to have unwittingly
committed. Apparently, he is taken away by these demons just after
he finishes writing his book, but before he is able to sign it;
thus his name remains unknown.

Enuma Elish (7 pages)
The Babylonian and Assyrian Legends Concerning
the Creation of the World and of Mankind. The Enuma Elish is
one of the oldest stories known to mankind. It is a story
first written down by the ancient Sumerians thousands of years
ago. As a one time assistant in the Department of Egyptian and
Assyrian Antiquities at the British Museum, L.W. King provides
us with a qualified translation of the tablets which were
originally written in cuneiform script. The Enuma Elish is
receiving renewed interest from modern researchers delving
into the origins of mankind, the earth, and the solar system.
Over the centuries a copy ended up in the library at Nineveh
in the 7th century B.C., and was uncovered by archaeologists
in the late 1800s. Written in cuneiform text and preserved on
seven clay tablets, the entire story was called "The Seven
Tablets of Creation." After being translated the story
revealed how the planets became aligned, how a cosmic
catastrophe affected the earth, how mankind came upon the
scene, and how the "gods" played a role in all of it. The
Seven Tablets of Creation have had many profound implications
since they were first discovered and subsequently published.
They predate many parts of the Book of Genesis as well as
other worldwide creation myths. Volume One includes this epic
poem's English translation. It also includes information on
parallels in Hebrew literature, the date and origin of the
Babylonian creation legends, and more. Volume Two includes
other accounts of creation, an Assyrian "Tower of Babel"
story, and supplementary texts showing the actual cuneiform
tablets.

Liber Trapezohedron
(86 pages) This grimoire utilizes the twelve signs of the
Zodiac as a path of enlightenment, provides several means of
protection from the Necronomicon as well as own research (i.e.
the Ankh or a Cross, and Holy Water). It also contains the
Black Mirror Ritual of Yog-Sothoth, a modification of the
Bloody Mary Ritual based on the black mirror which actually
works, as well as an Invocation for Nyarlathotep. It also has
the two missing steps for Gate-Walking that is for the Old
Ones. The Incantations of these two gates are missing, as is
the seal of Kryphnon, the eighth step on the Ladder of Lights.
It also has another seal that goes with the Book of Fifty
Names and works for the Old Ones. It can only be used after
completing Kryphnon and does the same thing as the second name
of Marduk but works for the ANNUNAKI instead of the IGIGI, not
to mention the fact that it has the Epic of the Old Ones and a
more detailed account of the War.
